Iona joins our family

We’re delighted to bring you happy news that Iona is now officially part of the P&O Cruises family. At a handover ceremony on Friday 9 October at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, she was welcomed to the fleet.

After a tough year, the sight of her setting sail offers a positive ray of sunshine. Get ready for some unforgettable experiences. With her glass-roofed SkyDome, a cool gin distillery,exciting new dining and entertainment concepts and unique wellbeing treats, Iona’s a holiday game-changer.

And as the first British cruise ship to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), she’s our most innovative and greenest ship yet. To celebrate this moment, we look back at Iona’s amazing build and wish her a safe return.
